Verdugo's top 12% and Councilors vs. The Principles


So it started like so: Mendelsohn was overcrowded with kids term A of the new school year, so he encourages everyone to either drop the class or take a new class unless they are 100% dedicated to the AP english course. So.. after a few weeks, Jon Ross is the first to be targeted, so he leaves, then the athletes were to be targeted. The second time, our essay's became the judgment of whether we are privileged enough to stay... I honestly messed up with the essay, citing the quotes wrong and using diction in my third paragraph when it should be Syntax... so Mendelsohn gives heat to Ms.Carbone(our magnet councilor) and she just advised to just leave, so we do. Richard Tran and I then decided to see if we can join into Riemer's class to finish off B-term, so Ms.Carbone lets us with the consent of Riemer, he agrees. For the past few weeks, Richard and I had tons of fun and learned a lot from Mr.Riemer... I am terrified now that I have to leave his class, plus all my friends.

Well Ms. Rescigno then tries to kick us (richard and I) out of Riemer's class so that Mr.Silva's students can come to Riemers... which is a complete bullshit if you ask me... So now the real fight begins.

Ms Rescigno, know that this whole schedule shit will fuck up my college submissions, still tries to kick me out... the only ground I can follow her argument on is that I am not a "regular" student and that I am a magnet student and shouldn't have been in Riemer's in the first place and Rescigno claims that Carbone didn't get her consent to put me in Riemer's class. Carbone then responses that she know Riemer's class needed kids so she puts us in there. Klewitz then comes into the equation and backs up Riscigno... wow. Any more back bone you have there? So Resicgno tells me to talk to all the teachers and councilors that are involved in this... vice versa. So I'm going back n' forth demanding my stay in Riemer's class with the help of students with the same situation and the magnet office. I thank you guys for this amount of effort.

So Elin Ghaz. brings in her mother and, with the help of Ms.Deboer, goes explains and tries to resolve this whole mess with the stubborn "higher" authorities... the "man" didn't budge on their decision to deny the ones who want in and forces those who does not want out... Deboer takes a big hit, Elin, Samantha, Richard, Magnet office, Riemer, and everyone involved wants this over with. So I wanted to settle this... I went to Rescigno and Klewitz and purpose that they are wrecking my future acceptance to UC's and they should allow me to stay... denied. They played the "you didn't work hard enough" card... (yea, it IS a card game to them... using us like this.) So I purpose that since I've already taken AP english language in Term -A that they would just change my current class name to AP english language Term-B so that I can keep my submitted UC apps without calling them up to change it, I get the AP credits that I didn't care about in the first place, drop out, get my 12grade english done with and move on. (By moving on I mean take TA for Riemer/Carbone and still stay in Riemer's for the class, all I care about right now is my education... fuck the grades, I can keep the "C" average easily...)

I then go talk to mendelsohn, and I mentioned that yea, I'm going to taking tennis and leaving his class for the last 15min of class every Monday and Wednesday. He then realizes that taking me back into his class, which I would be gladly to go back to, is not an option anymore... Mendelsohn is a good teacher and a good guy, he's litterally just doing his job as an AP english teacher with conservative values of hard work and focusing on one goal. I know what he is like, I don't blame him.

So now, I will be going into Silva's for the first week of term-C and if I don't like it, report back to Rescigno and she'll change my class name so that I can just take it and go. From my colleague's information Silva can teach 9th and 10th graders but now a high level thinker nor a proficient Advance Placement teacher...

I have not cried since I was 7 years old... it takes a decade and the abuse of my ability to be able to get educated the way I want it to make me cry... yea. I cried to see that I'll be leaving Riemer's, leaving me friends, letting myself down because I am in no position to make any dramatic changes, to see all the faces that are being burdened by this situation... FUCK YOU KLEWITZ AND RESCIGNO... I do NOT want to drag anyone else into this, there is already too much shit and too many people involved because one guy wanted to do what was right for his class and for the kids he is teaching... I can't take this anymore!

IF! Silva was so good, people would not be wanting to leave, thus prevented us from having this mess. I say, close Silva's AP English class, divide the students (the more dedicated ones go to Mendelsohn, the more relaxed-minded ones be in Riemer's). So that the school can sacrifice one mediocre AP teacher for the wellness of the rest. School can pay Silva less, due to him not teaching AP, school gets more money so Rescigno and Klewtiz can get their new foot massagers.

Why are you two fucking with the student's education for the sake of you having your titles upgraded or are you doing this because you two can? If I fuck up on the AP exam (for english) I will blame you old hags... I seriously think all of this shit could have been avoided if the school wasn't so cheap to hired these kinds of teachers... and they say Verdugo wants to go charter... you can't even handle class change while public, the fuck you want to go charter for? If you wanted money so bad, why didn't you just not build the new multi-media room under the fucking, hammer banging, saw wielding, wood shop! Charter? you are NOT smart enough to do that. Access ramps now? pathetic. All that money into football? PA-THE-TIC. Repave the tennis courts, or even buy new net for the girl's tennis champs for god sake... it's bad enough we have to tread across the school to play. Yea,a little off topic, but still school admins HAD their share of education, why fuck it up for the people that are going to run the damn world?

This shit has gone too damn far.

On the scale of 1-10 on my disgust toward the head honchos of this plot, as Kemple has taught me: the limit as my anger reaches infinity of my fist in you face. dx.


They're more details in this thing, but I want to keep you guys informed but not mention names that would not like to be mentioned.


right before you close this, please tell me what you guys think? what would you do if you were in my situation? should I try to publish this whole thing (not this blog) on the LA Yuca?
