Poll Workers and Dress Shopping

Well today I woke up at 11am so that didn't give me much time to do morning leisure stuff due to my poll worker training at 2pm but because I was planning to take the bus to the Halls Of Administrations I left the house at 11:40ish. A bus passed by me, so I was like "fuck!" and I waited a round, but it turns out it was a training bus, and another one out of service. So I told my mom to go drive me up to Solano which I met up with Leega, then Ellen, and finally Sidney Vu. We walked 100ft down and Sidney forgot her papers so she called me and told us to go ahead without her. I, of course waited and so did the other girls. William came by from work and we talked. I told Sidney to stop talking to me and she'll find the papers. She came back with the papers in her arms. She apparently found the papers literally right after she hung up on me :P

So we walked all the way to Anne's house and waited for her to come down. It was about 1:35pm. We had 25 minutes to walk a block and a half. We got to the place right on time, maybe 3-5 minutes before the doors closed. Poll worker training, COMMENCE! from 2pm to 4pm the 6 of us sat there. Yea did I mention we picked up Kelly at Lollicup's along the way to Anne's house? Well, we did! So the seating order went, from right to left, Anne, Leega, Ellen, Kelly, and Sidney. I sat a row ahead and infront of Kelly... The training was alright, it wasn't too gruesome. I loved our speakers though Wayne and Matt ahah! The instructional videos were hilarious. I think Leega liked Henry the poll worker the best. I liked the little stupid details they had in the video, like the "flavor of ice cream" receipt was labeled "over-voted".

So after the delightful training session, we decided to walk back toward Anne's house and while Kelly parted a little early Leega, Anne, Ellen, and I went to go CT dress shopping, and Sidney went home. Let me tell yah, dress shopping at CT is an awful experience because those old asian ladies will try to convince the crap outta ya to sell you their dresses, and all you can say most of the time is "o, we're just looking [around]." Sad really. So it was a good portion of that, and so this group of 3 girls and 1 guy walked towards the market place with all the stands outside under tarps, Leega, Anne, and Ellen decided to go to downtown to look for dresses, and I decided that I would just go home because that's what my dad would've wanted? So I parted my ways there. I decided that I really wanted boba so I had a mini-adventure across the chinatown landmark place with the statue of the man standing and went to Lollicup next to the "yun-yun's". Got my milk tea boba and head for the bustop infront of the pho broadway. Got there and there was these fobs... talking in cantonese... so DASH'd it back home and yea. I'm home.

After a long while I hear very good news. Sidney finds her prom dress! (: (: (:
Now I can gi find something that will match her hot-pink/ fuschia colored dress. So then I IM'd rararalion and gave him so many irritating question about rental and stuff ahah sorry rararalion! [yes I'm typing his IM because for jackie's sake if you're reading this jackie, I hope it helps (:] It's going to be a busy week next week for me. Where can I find a light pink vest and a fuschia tie? (please help me on that one haha).

Fast Forward>>>>>

looked at corsages and boutonnieres, but Ms. Sidney Vu says we can go look at a recommended flower shop her co-workers/boss recommended (: So I'm looking forward to that! I also stayed up with her on AIM but sadly Mrs. Vu didn't sleep until she did so I advise her to sleep for the health of both of em' since we all know staying up late and night will fuck you up one way or the other :P

Well, that was the highlights of my day. I hope you enjoyed reading this blog!
